Shirish Marathe

Shirish Marathe was born and raised in Pune, and his initiation into astrology came through his maternal uncle, a retired civil engineer who kept a worn copy of B.V. Raman's works on his bedside table. Shirish trained formally under a senior teacher at the Pune Jyotish Mandal in the early 2010s, focusing entirely on the Lahiri ayanamsa and sidereal calculation methods. That grounding in classical Maharashtrian Jyotish tradition, precise, computational, no shortcuts, shaped everything that followed. He has never switched to tropical, and does not intend to.

Shirish reads with the chart in front of him and talks in plain language. He focuses on Dasha sequences, natal planet placements in sidereal rasis, and the relationship between the Lagna lord and the 10th house for career questions. He also practices palmistry and dream interpretation as secondary tools, using them to cross-verify chart findings rather than as standalone readings.
