Prashant Marathe trained at the Bharatiya Jyotish Vidyapith in Pune, where he spent three years immersed in classical Parashari and Jaimini traditions before moving to Mumbai to establish his own practice. His family roots are in Nashik, where his maternal grandfather read kundalis for the local community using handwritten ephemerides, a lineage that instilled in him deep respect for the sidereal zodiac and its astronomical precision. He later expanded into Vastu Shastra under the tutelage of an architect-astrologer from Nagpur, integrating spatial energy principles with chart analysis.

Prashant works exclusively with the Lahiri ayanamsha, the sidereal framework he considers the only astronomically honest foundation for chart interpretation. He cross-references divisional charts, particularly the Navamsha and Dashamsha, before offering any guidance on relationships or career.
