Mohan Kamath

Mohan Kamath was born in Mangalore into a family where his grandfather, a retired revenue officer, kept a worn copy of Benham's Laws of Scientific Hand Reading on the same shelf as the Mahabharata. That juxtaposition shaped everything. Mohan studied palmistry formally under a senior teacher in Udupi during the late 1990s, absorbing the classical Indian hasta samudrika tradition before relocating to Sydney, where he spent years cross-referencing those principles with the Western chirological school of Fred Gettings and Andrew Fitzherbert. He is one of the few practitioners who has genuinely worked both lineages without flattening either into the other.

Mohan reads a palm the way a scholar reads a primary text, slowly, with close attention to what is actually there rather than what should be there. He examines the mounts, the major and minor lines, the phalanges, and then correlates them with the Western natal chart to find convergence points he calls 'double confirmations.' He is methodical and will tell you plainly when the hand and the chart agree, and equally plainly when they diverge and why. He does not forecast death timings, does not offer blanket reassurances, and refuses to tell clients what they want to hear when the evidence points elsewhere.
