Manisha Deshmukh was born and raised in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in a household where her maternal grandmother read hands at the kitchen table every Sunday morning. She began her formal study of palmistry under a respected hast-rekha practitioner from Wardha, spending nearly a decade learning the Marathi school of hasta-samudrika, the ancient reading of mounts, lines, and skin texture together as one living map. Later she expanded her training into Jaimini astrology through correspondence with teachers in Mysore, and eventually added Western chart techniques through coursework at the Theosophical Society in Chennai.
