Venkatesh Chowdary

Venkatesh Chowdary was born into a family of Jyotishi practitioners in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, where his grandfather would read charts by oil lamp on the front veranda every evening. He trained formally under Pandit Suryanarayana Shastri of the Parashari tradition in Vijayawada, spending seven years studying Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jaimini sutras, and the nakshatras as living entities rather than abstract coordinates. That grounding in classical Telugu Brahmin lineage shapes everything he does today.

Venkatesh reads slowly and deliberately, the way a good cook tastes at every stage. He works primarily through the Parashari house system, paying special attention to the Atmakaraka, the lagna lord's condition, and the Moon's nakshatra as a window into the soul's deeper intentions. He refuses to deal in doom — no death dates, no "your marriage is finished" readings — because he believes a chart shows karma as potential energy, not locked fate. His focus is always on what the person can do with what the planets are offering right now.
