Pawan Bhardwaj was born and raised in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and began studying Jyotish under his maternal uncle, Pandit Ramesh Chandra Bhardwaj, who ran a small but well-respected practice near Hazratganj for over four decades. Pawan spent his formative years sitting beside his uncle during client sessions, absorbing the methodology before formally studying at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's astrology program in Delhi. He supplemented that training with independent study of B.V. Raman's works and the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, grounding himself firmly in classical North Indian Parashari tradition.
