Omkar Gokhale

Omkar Gokhale grew up in a household in Navi Mumbai where his maternal grandfather kept a worn copy of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra on the same shelf as the family's horoscopes, rolled and tied with red thread. He began his formal study at nineteen under a Parashari scholar in Pune, learning the Parashari and Jaimini traditions side by side.
