Daksha Bhatt

Daksha Bhatt grew up in Surat's old city, in a household where her nani kept a small dream diary by the bed and would cross-reference recurring symbols with the Svapna Shastra texts her own guru had gifted her. Daksha trained formally under a senior teacher at the Baroda Jyotish Kendra in the late 1990s, where she spent three years studying both Parashari Jyotish and the lesser-taught branch of Svapna Jyotish, the astrology of dream omens. That double training, classical chart work anchored by the language of the dreaming mind, is what sets her practice apart from most.

Daksha reads charts with one eye on the natal placements and another on what she calls the "night signals", the recurring dreams, the timing of nightmares, the symbols that appear during planetary dashas. She believes dreams are not random noise but a second nervous system, a channel the subconscious uses when the conscious mind is too noisy to listen. She will not use dreams to frighten people or to make absolutist predictions; instead she reads them the way a translator reads a foreign text, looking for the emotional core of what is being communicated. For marriage readings she combines the 7th house, navamsa, and Venusian timing with whatever the client has been dreaming in the months leading up to the question.

Most of Daksha's clients come to her sitting with one of two anxieties, they've had a dream that shook them, or they're facing a marriage decision that logic alone won't untangle. They walk away with a clearer sense of what their own inner world is already trying to tell them, plus concrete Jyotish timing they can actually use. She works primarily in English and Hindi, and her Surat WhatsApp sessions regularly run past midnight because, as she puts it, dreams don't keep business hours.
