Vasudha Kamat learned to read hands the way most people learn a mother tongue, slowly, at close range, watching an elder do it first. Her primary teacher was her maternal uncle in Udupi, a student of the Hasta Samudrika tradition who cross-referenced every palm line against the Brihat Jataka and the Lal Kitab. She later deepened her Vedic grounding at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's correspondence programme in Mumbai before relocating to Melbourne, where she has maintained a private practice for over a decade. Nineteen years of combined study and client work shape every reading she gives.

Vasudha reads the palm as a living document, not a fixed map. She cross-references the lines of the hand, the life, head, heart, and fate lines, along with the mounts of Jupiter, Saturn, and Ketu, against the Vedic birth chart to confirm or complicate what she sees.
