Shakuntala Chaturvedi

Shakuntala Chaturvedi came to Western astrology through an unusual path for a woman of her generation. Born and raised in a joint family in Karol Bagh, Delhi, she spent decades as a schoolteacher before a gifted colleague introduced her to the works of Liz Greene and Robert Hand in her early fifties. She studied through the Faculty of Astrological Studies correspondence course from London, supplementing it with workshops held at the India International Centre. Her roots in North Indian tradition mean she is never fully separate from Vedic thinking, and that blend quietly enriches everything she does.
