Rukmini Vasudevan

Rukmini Vasudevan was born into a family of Tamil Brahmin scholars in Chennai, where her maternal grandfather, a practising Jyotishi trained in the Parashara tradition, kept a worn copy of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra on his desk alongside a dream ledger he filled each morning. She formally studied Vedic astrology under a senior teacher at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan institute in Chennai before emigrating to Canada, where she deepened her understanding of Swapna Shastra through correspondence with scholars at the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha in Tirupati. That lineage, Parasharan in frame, Shaivite in sensibility, shapes every reading she gives.

Rukmini reads dreams not as metaphors to psychologise but as direct dispatches from the antahkarana, the inner instrument of consciousness. She cross-references dream symbols against classical Swapna Shastra tables, then overlays the dreamer's natal chart to assess which house and graha are broadcasting the imagery. She also practises Prashna Jyotish, casting a chart for the exact moment a question is asked, because she believes the universe speaks in real time, not only at birth. What she refuses to do is manufacture false comfort: if a dream signals a warning, she will say so plainly, and then show the remedial path.
