Rukmini Chauhan

Rukmini Chauhan grew up in a joint family in Shahdara, East Delhi, where her nani kept a worn red-covered Lal Kitab on the prayer shelf right next to the Ramayana. From the age of twelve, Rukmini watched her nani dispense remedies, float a coconut, bury copper coins, feed crows before Tuesday, with such quiet conviction that neighbours would queue at the gate before sunrise. When Rukmini turned twenty-two, she began her formal study under a senior pandit in Chandni Chowk, who had trained in the original Lal Kitab lineage, and she hasn't stopped reading since.

Rukmini reads Lal Kitab the way her nani cooked dal, by feel, by instinct, but with a recipe she respects completely. She works primarily from the annual kundali and the debt-of-fate (rin) houses, and she looks at which planets are sleeping and which are awake before she prescribes a single remedy. She also layers Vastu observations into her consultations, because in her view a blocked north corner and a weak Jupiter are often the same problem wearing two different coats. She reads Tarot only to confirm timing, not to replace the chart. She will not, ever, tell you a death date, and she won't entertain questions designed to harm another person.

Rukmini's clients are mostly young working women and first-generation homeowners navigating job changes, property decisions, and the eternal question of when marriage will actually happen. After a session with her, people leave with two or three specific, inexpensive remedies, a clear sense of which six-month window is favorable for action, and strict instructions about what to eat on which weekday, delivered with the loving firmness of someone who genuinely believes you can do better.
