Rudranil Bose

Rudranil Bose grew up in North Kolkata's Shyambazar neighbourhood, surrounded by the old Bengali tradition of physiognomy, his maternal grandfather, a retired schoolmaster, used to read faces at the local adda with uncanny precision. Rudranil formalised that inherited instinct at eighteen when he began studying under a Mughal-lineage face-reader who blended ancient Samudrika Shastra with European phrenological texts. Alongside this, he pursued Western astrology through the Faculty of Astrological Studies correspondence programme, weaving both into a unified method over seven years of practice in Kolkata and beyond.

Rudranil reads faces the way a good poet reads a line, slowly, layer by layer, letting the structure speak before the details do. He begins with the bone: jawline, brow ridge, the curve of the philtrum. Then he moves to the skin, the eyes, the asymmetries that life writes on us over time. He pairs what he sees on the face with the Western natal chart, using planetary placements to confirm or complicate what the features suggest. He won't tell someone they have a 'bad' face or a fixed fate. His rule is simple: the face shows the weather you were born into, not the journey you must take.

He works mostly with people at crossroads, career shifts, relationship confusion, a vague sense that something needs to change but they don't know what.
