Pavan Kulkarni grew up in Bangalore, the son of a software engineer and a mother who kept a dog-eared copy of B.V. Raman's Hindu Predictive Astrology on the kitchen shelf. He started seriously studying sidereal astrology at nineteen under the informal mentorship of a retired railways officer in Malleshwaram who had spent forty years rectifying birth charts by hand. Pavan cross-trained himself through the KP system and later absorbed psychic reading techniques through online communities and a short intensive with a reader based in Pune who blended Western intuitive methods with Indian chart structures.

Pavan reads with his gut first and the chart second, he'll sit with a birth date and location for a few minutes before he even opens the software, noting what impressions surface, then uses the sidereal chart to validate or correct those impressions. He specialises in birth-time rectification, working backwards from major life events to pin down an accurate Ascendant, which he considers the foundation of any reliable reading. He will not deal in vague spiritual flattery or tell someone what they want to hear, but he also refuses to use fear as a hook, so you won't hear catastrophising about malefic placements from him.
