Nirmala Rastogi

Nirmala Rastogi was born and raised in Lucknow, in a household where her nani kept a worn deck of playing cards and read fortunes for neighbors on Thursday evenings. That childhood image never left her. In her early thirties, after years of quietly studying on her own, Nirmala trained formally under a teacher in Pune, a renowned Tarot practitioner who worked within the Rider-Waite-Smith tradition but wove in Indian intuitive frameworks. Nirmala spent three years under her guidance before returning to Lucknow to practice independently.

Nirmala reads the cards the way a painter looks at light, not hunting for facts but watching for feeling. She believes the Tarot does not tell you what will happen; it shows you the energy already in motion, the knot in the thread before it pulls tight. She focuses most deeply on the emotional undercurrents of a situation, what is unspoken between two people, where fear is masquerading as logic, where love is still alive underneath silence. She will not read cards to expose or shame anyone, and she firmly refuses to do "target readings" designed to harm or manipulate another person.
