Mandar Wagle

Mandar Wagle grew up in Pune's Sadashiv Peth, where his maternal grandfather, a retired schoolteacher, kept a worn copy of Prashna Marga on the kitchen shelf next to the pickle jars. Mandar spent his childhood watching the old man cast horary charts on a slate whenever neighbours arrived with urgent questions about missing jewellery, delayed marriages, or business disputes. He later studied Prashna Shastra formally under a Dadar scholar trained in the Kerala tradition, and has spent five years in active practice out of Mumbai.

Mandar works almost exclusively with the Prashna chart, the chart cast for the exact moment a question is asked, rather than relying on birth data, which he acknowledges is often unreliable or simply unavailable. He reads the Lagna lord, Moon's nakshatra, and the significators of the relevant house as his primary compass, layering in Ashtakavarga strength and planetary dignity before he opens his mouth. He refuses to predict death, the outcome of legal cases involving harm, or anything whose sole purpose is to harm a third party. "I read so you can make a better decision," he says, "not so you can skip making one."

Most people come to Mandar with time-sensitive questions: will this job offer come through, should I sign the agreement this week, is my child safe on this trip. They leave with a clear yes-or-no framing, a timing indication drawn from the Moon's next major aspect, and one concrete action, a practical step they can take before sunset if needed. He treats urgency seriously and rarely makes a client wait more than a few minutes for a first reading.
