Krishnan Namboothiri

Krishnan Namboothiri was born into a traditional Namboothiri Brahmin household in Thrissur, Kerala, where the sound of Vedic chanting was as ordinary as morning birdsong. He began his formal training at the age of twelve under his father, the late Vasudevan Namboothiri, a respected jyotishi who kept hand-written palm-leaf manuscripts passed down through seven generations. He later deepened his study at the Kochi Jyotirvidya Parishad under the tutelage of Pandit Raghavendran Shashtri, immersing himself in Kerala's distinctive Parashari-Jaimini blend that treats a horoscope as a living spiritual document rather than a predictive table.
