Komal Bhatia grew up in Lucknow in a household where her grandmother kept a worn copy of the Rider-Waite deck tucked between her saris and her prayer books. That early exposure lit something in Komal that formal education couldn't quite extinguish — she studied literature at Delhi University before returning to the cards in her mid-twenties. She trained seriously under Preeti Sehgal, a Delhi-based tarot mentor known for blending Jungian psychology with intuitive reading, and later deepened her practice through a correspondence course with the London Tarot Academy. Eight years of daily pulls later, the cards feel like a second language.

Komal reads tarot as a tool for honest self-reflection, not fortune-telling. She works with the full 78-card deck and trusts reversed cards as much as upright ones — sometimes more. She focuses heavily on the Minor Arcana, believing that the small, mundane suits of Cups, Pentacles, Wands, and Swords reveal more about where a person actually is than the dramatic Major Arcana ever could alone. She will not offer hard yes-or-no predictions about outcomes she considers outside human agency — she won't tell you what another person is thinking or feeling, because that isn't your card to pull. She reads for clarity, not certainty.

Most of Komal's clients come to her sitting at a crossroads — a relationship that has gone ambiguous, a career move they can't quite commit to, a nagging sense that something needs to change but they can't name it. She uses three-card and Celtic Cross spreads most often, and tends to walk clients through what each card is making her feel before she interprets it. People usually leave a session knowing what they already knew, but finally trusting it.
