Ganesh Varadarajan

Ganesh Varadarajan was born and raised in Mylapore, Chennai, in a household where the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra sat beside the Tirukkural on the same shelf. He began his formal study under a vidwan at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Jyotish faculty in Chennai, later deepening his grasp of Navamsha-based compatibility techniques through a two-year correspondence with a Thanjavur-based pandit family whose lineage traced back to the court of Serfoji II. Sixteen years of unbroken practice followed from that foundation.

Ganesh reads the Rasi and Navamsha charts in tandem, believing that the D-1 shows the stage a couple walks onto and the D-9 shows who they actually are when the curtain falls at night. He gives particular weight to the 7th, 5th, and 12th lords in synastry, and to Venus-Mars axis interplay between two charts. He refuses to declare a match "doomed" on the basis of Mangal Dosha alone, a reductive reading he considers the most damaging oversimplification in modern Jyotish. He reads for clarity, not for fate, his sessions aim to hand people a map, not a verdict.
