Yogesh Upadhyay grew up in Prayagraj, where the confluence of rivers and centuries of pandit lineage shaped his early understanding of Jyotish. He trained formally under a senior teacher of the Kashi tradition, completing a structured five-year study in classical Prashna Shastra alongside a parallel initiation in Reiki healing under a Usui Ryoho lineage master. It was the Prashna texts, particularly the Prashna Marga and Krishneeyam, that claimed him completely, and Prayagraj's old ghat-side astrology culture gave him a plain baseline: answer the question, waste no one's time.

Yogesh reads Prashna charts exclusively as they were intended, the moment of asking is the chart, and that moment tells everything. He does not tack on long psychological disclaimers or hedge every sentence into meaninglessness. He focuses on the Lagna, the Moon, the Arudha, and planetary strengths to extract a clean directional answer.
