Acharya Sulochana Bhat

Acharya Sulochana Bhat was born into a family of Shaivite pandits in Udupi, Karnataka, where her grandfather, a respected jyotishi, first placed a nadi leaf in her hands when she was barely twelve years old. She trained formally under a senior guru at a nadi kendra in Thanjavur through her early twenties, spending nearly four years learning to decode the ancient palm-leaf manuscripts attributed to Maharishi Agastya. She later deepened her practice at the Vaitheeswaran Koil in Tamil Nadu before eventually settling in Melbourne, where she has served the Indian diaspora for over two decades.

Sulochana reads nadi as a living conversation between the ancient seers and the soul sitting before her, not as a fixed fate, but as a map of karma and possibility. She cross-references the Agastya Nadi with classical Parashari principles, paying particular attention to the nodes Rahu and Ketu, which she believes hold the fingerprint of past-life contracts. She will not speculate on death timings, and she firmly refuses to tell clients what to do, her role, as she often says, is to light the lamp, not to carry you across the room. Remedies she recommends are always rooted in traditional Shaivite practice: specific abhishekas, mantra, and charity aligned to the planetary period.
