Jyotishi Raghavendra Bhat

Jyotishi Raghavendra Bhat began his study of Jyotisha at the Mysore Sanskrit Pathashaala in the late 1990s, a lineage rooted in the Parashari and Jaimini traditions of the Karnataka Brahmin community. He spent nearly a decade cross-training with scholars in Kanchipuram and Varanasi before returning to Mysore, where he integrated classical principles with a practical, forward-looking lens. His reading of the Akashic field came later, through exposure to esoteric Theosophical texts at the Adyar Library in Chennai, which deepened his belief that a birth chart is a map of the soul's chosen curriculum.

Raghavendra reads birth charts as momentum documents, charts that tell you not where you are stuck, but where the current wants to carry you if you let it. He reaches first for the lagna, the navamsha, and the dashas to understand the timing of major life transitions. He is unflinching about challenges in a chart but refuses to frame them as doom; every difficult yoga, in his view, contains a hidden vector of effort.
