Mridula Hazarika

Mridula Hazarika learned astrology the old way, sitting across from her maternal uncle, Pandit Bireswar Hazarika, in his modest consulting room in Guwahati's Fancy Bazaar neighbourhood, copying out horoscopes by hand before she was allowed to interpret a single line. She later deepened her training through the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Jyotir Vigyan programme in New Delhi, where she was immersed in the Parashara tradition and the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. Assamese oral lineage and pan-Indian classical scholarship together shaped her foundation, and she has practised out of Guwahati for fifteen years.

Mridula reads birth charts methodically, lagna first, then the dasha sequence, then divisional charts like the Navamsha and Dashamsha before she touches any house-specific question. She refuses to offer vague comfort or to manufacture certainty where none exists; her view is that a chart shows tendencies, timing windows, and karmic themes, not fated outcomes written in stone. She will not predict death, she will not encourage dependency, and she will always name the planetary combination she is reading rather than leaving the client to take her word on faith. Precision, in her view, is itself a form of respect.

Her clients are mostly working professionals, engineers, civil servants, doctors, mid-career managers, grappling with decisions about job changes, relocations, entrepreneurship, and stalled promotions. They come with spreadsheets full of options and leave with a clearer sense of which period supports which kind of move. Mridula does not tell them what to choose; she shows them when the chart is in their favour and when patience is the more intelligent strategy.
