Suchitra Phadke

Suchitra Phadke trained at Pune's Shastri Vidyapeeth in the early 2000s, immersing herself in Samudrika Shastra, the classical Indian science of bodily signs, alongside the Brihat Samhita texts that codify facial physiognomy. Before that formal study, she absorbed the tradition informally from her maternal grandfather, a vaidya in Nashik who read faces the way farmers read skies: practically, quietly, without ceremony. That dual lineage, lineage of the household and lineage of the classroom, shaped everything she does.

Suchitra reads faces as living charts. The forehead maps Saturn and the moon; the nose carries Jupiter; the lips and chin speak of Venus and Mars. She cross-references what she sees on the face with the native's Janma Kundali, looking for corroboration or contradiction between the two, because when they diverge, that divergence itself is the message. She will not reduce a face to a fortune. She refuses predictions wrapped in false certainty: her practice is built on insight and probability, not prophecy. Hard truths get delivered, but with the precision of a scholar, not the drama of a prophet.
