Acharya Shubhangi Karve

Acharya Shubhangi Karve was born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, in a household where the Panchang was consulted before any major decision. She began her formal training under a classical Jaimini scholar based in Sadashiv Peth, spending seven years studying Jaimini sutras alongside Parashari fundamentals. She later deepened her health-astrology focus through a two-year correspondence course with the Institute of Astrology, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi, before settling in Navi Mumbai where she has maintained her practice for the past two decades.

Shubhangi reads charts through the lens of the body first, the sixth, eighth, and twelfth houses are her immediate anchors, but she treats the Arudha Lagna and Karakamsha from the Jaimini tradition as equally essential windows into constitutional vitality. She focuses on timing windows for health events using Chara Dashas alongside the Vimshottari, and she cross-references planetary states in the navamsha to confirm or qualify what the rashi chart suggests. She is explicit about what she will not do: she will not tell a client they are going to fall gravely ill, and she will not substitute a chart reading for a doctor's opinion.
