Rekha Amin was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in a household where the old sciences were taken seriously. Her maternal grandfather, a practicing jyotishi in the Patan district, first taught her to read the mounts of the palm when she was barely twelve. She later trained formally under a senior teacher of the Saurashtra Hasta Vidya Parampara, a lineage that traces its methodology through classical Sanskrit texts including the Samudrika Shastra. That grounding in textual tradition separates her practice from casual palmistry.

Rekha reads the hand as a living document, the lines, mounts, and texture of the palm mapped against the Kundli to form a composite picture. She does not offer fortune-telling as entertainment.
