Pratibha Pathak was born and raised in Patna, Bihar, and grew up in a household where her grandmother kept a worn cloth notebook recording the family's significant dreams alongside the dates they occurred. That early fascination led her to the Varanasi campus of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, where she formally studied Jyotish Shastra under a senior teacher, a scholar in the Parashari tradition. She later deepened her understanding of Swapna Shastra, the classical Vedic science of dream interpretation, through correspondence with the Madras-based Krishnamurti Paddhati study circle, weaving both systems into a unified framework.

Pratibha reads dreams the way a classical Vedic astrologer reads a natal chart: methodically, with reference to primary sources, and without dramatic flourish. She cross-references a dreamer's stated imagery against the Atharva Veda's swapna chapters and the medieval text Swapna Chintamani, then maps symbols onto the natal chart's active dashas and transiting grahas to give the dream a precise temporal context. She will not assign fearful omens without astrological corroboration, refuses to speculate about death-related imagery, and is firm that a single dream is a data point, not a verdict, it must be read alongside at least three to five recurring themes.

Her clients are typically people experiencing vivid or disturbing dreams during major life transitions, job changes, grief, marriage decisions, unexplained anxiety, who feel the dreams carry meaning but cannot decode them. They leave a session with a written summary linking their dream symbols to active planetary periods, an understanding of which area of their chart is speaking through the subconscious, and practical guidance on timing decisions aligned with what the chart confirms.
