Jonali Barua

Jonali Barua was born and raised in Guwahati, Assam, where her grandmother first taught her to pay attention to dreams as messages from the deeper self. She came to astrology later in life, training formally under a teacher of the Kamakhya-tradition lineage in her mid-fifties, blending his classical Parashari foundations with the older Assamese folk practices of swapna shastra, the indigenous science of dream-reading, that had been passed through women in her family for generations.
