Vasanthi Iyengar

Vasanthi Iyengar was born and raised in Mylapore, Chennai, in a household where the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra was kept on the same shelf as the kitchen almanac. Her maternal grandmother, a Panchangam reader for three generations of Iyengar families, taught her to read the navagrahas before she finished school. Vasanthi later studied formally under a senior acharya at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan chapter in Chennai, deepening her grounding in traditional South Indian Vedic methods and the Kerala school of planetary periods.

Vasanthi reads primarily from the Rashi and Navamsa charts together, refusing to give a verdict on love or marriage from just one divisional chart. She leans heavily on Dasha sequences and transit timing, she believes the chart shows potential, but timing shows when that potential opens or closes. She will not tell you who to marry or who to leave. She will not predict tragedy. What she will do is show you what the planets are saying right now, what they said when you were born, and where the two conversations are meeting.

Most of the people who come to Vasanthi are families weighing a match, young people confused between love and an arranged proposal, or couples who married in a rush and now want to understand why things feel stuck.
