Acharya Unnikrishnan Namboothiri

Acharya Unnikrishnan Namboothiri was born into a Namboothiri Brahmin household in Thrissur, Kerala, where the smell of sandal paste and oil lamps accompanied every evening prayer. His formal training in Prashna Marga, the classical Kerala school of horary astrology, began under the tutelage of Pandit Ravi Narayanan Somayajipad of Guruvayur, a lineage-holder who insisted that no student touch a client's question until they could recite the relevant shlokas from memory. He later deepened his study of Samudrika Shastra, the ancient science of face and body reading, at a small gurukula outside Thrissur, cross-referencing it with classical Jyotisha texts over years of disciplined practice.

His method is rooted firmly in the Prashna Marga tradition, meaning he places extraordinary weight on the moment a question is asked rather than solely the birth chart. He reaches first for the Ascendant of the query, the position of the Moon, and the ruling planets of the hour, triangulating these against the querent's visible physical markers using Samudrika Shastra to calibrate his reading. He refuses to manufacture certainty where scripture permits only probability, and he will not issue predictions about a third party's character without their knowledge. He reads for clarity and for dharmic direction, not for the short-term comfort of a convenient answer.
