Jignesh Desai

Jignesh Desai was born and raised in Surat, Gujarat, in a family where commerce and astrology were never seen as opposites. His maternal uncle, a seasoned diamond merchant, kept a worn copy of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra on the same shelf as his ledgers. Jignesh trained formally under Pandit Harivallabh Joshi of Vadodara's Jyotish Vidyapeeth, spending five years studying Parashari and Jaimini techniques before setting up his own practice in Ahmedabad in 2007.

Jignesh reads charts the way a Gujarati businessman reads a balance sheet — looking for what is real, what is timing, and what is noise. He focuses hard on the 2nd, 6th, 10th, and 11th houses, studies the Dasha-Antardasha sequence for financial turning points, and uses Ashtakvarga to judge whether a planet will actually deliver on its promise.
