Ishita Chandran began her training at nineteen under the tutelage of a seasoned Jyotish pandit in Kashi, where she spent two formative years immersed in classical Parashari texts alongside the more esoteric traditions of pranic healing. Her family lineage traces back to a long line of Tamilian Shaivite scholars, and that heritage gave her an early intuition for the subtle energies that Vedic texts call the sukshma sharira, the subtle body. She later deepened her aura-reading practice through structured study with a Sri Aurobindo-lineage teacher in Puducherry, weaving together two distinct knowledge streams before she moved her practice to New York.
