His formal training began under a senior teacher at a jyotish parishad in Nagpur, where he spent four years studying Parashari kundli methodology before his curiosity drew him eastward, to the Pranic Healing lineages of Chennai, and eventually to workshops in Calgary where he relocated in his early thirties.
