Urmila Sethi

Urmila Sethi was born and raised in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi, in a household where her maternal grandmother kept a small altar of crystals and hand-copied horoscopes tucked beneath the prayer cloth. Formal training came later, she studied Reiki in the Usui lineage through a grandmaster in Connaught Place in the early 1990s, and deepened her astrological practice through K.P. System workshops held in Nehru Place, absorbing the precision-oriented Krishnamurti Paddhati method that strips away guesswork in favour of sub-lord exactitude. These two disciplines, energy work and planetary timing, became the twin pillars of everything she does.

Urmila reads charts the way she reads a room: she feels before she analyzes. She'll often pause mid-session and describe a colour, a sensation, a weight in the chest, impressions that arrive alongside the planetary positions and nearly always land. She works within the K.P. framework because she values its accuracy over vague predictions, but she refuses to treat a chart as a verdict. Hard transits are not punishments; they are pressure points where healing is most needed. She will not assign death timings, will not feed fear, and insists that every session end with something the client can actually do, a breath practice, an intention, a small ceremony.

Her clients are largely working women in their thirties and forties wrestling with questions about marriage, career crossroads, and chronic anxiety that they are still learning how to live alongside. They come confused and leave with a framework, a sense of why this period feels the way it does, what energy to stop resisting, and one concrete practice to carry into the week. Many have been sitting with her in that small room in Delhi, or on video calls that feel exactly like that room, for over a decade.
