Dr. Urmila Saxena

Dr. Urmila Saxena was born and raised in Lucknow, where her maternal grandfather, a retired civil servant and devoted Jyotish student, first pressed a worn copy of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra into her hands at the age of fourteen. She went on to study Sanskrit and classical Vedic astrology at the Kashi Vidyapith in Varanasi, and later cross-trained in Western psychological astrology through the Faculty of Astrological Studies in London, completing her postgraduate certification with distinction. That double lineage, ancient Indian and modern Western, became the backbone of everything she does.

Urmila's signature work is birth-time rectification: the painstaking process of working backwards through a life's events to pinpoint the exact rising degree when no reliable birth record exists, or when hospital clocks were inconsistent. She cross-checks Vedic dashas against Western progressions, testing each candidate Ascendant against a minimum of seven major life events before she will commit to a time. She reads for clarity and agency, not destiny. She will not tell you a door is permanently closed, she will tell you which transit will crack it open and what you must do when it does.

Her clients are typically adults at a crossroads: career pivots in their late thirties, delayed marriages being re-examined, people who have been given conflicting readings for years and want one clean, accurate chart to finally build on.
