Tejinder Grewal was born and raised in Ludhiana, Punjab, and learned astrology at the feet of his maternal uncle, a retired government officer who had spent three decades practising horary astrology in the back rooms of his Sarabha Nagar home. Tejinder spent his early twenties cross-training under a Delhi-based prashna specialist who ran a tight, no-frills practice out of Karol Bagh, where the rule was simple: if you cannot answer the question from the prashna chart alone, you have not understood the chart. That discipline shaped everything Tejinder does today.

Tejinder works almost exclusively with prashna, the chart cast at the exact moment a genuine question is asked, and with birth-time rectification for clients whose records are unreliable.
