Rutvi Shah

Rutvi Shah was born and raised in Surat, Gujarat, in a family where evening prayers and astrological almanacs shared the same shelf. She began her formal study of Jyotish under a senior teacher of the Surat Jyotish Parishad, spending four years absorbing the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra alongside the regional Gujarati commentary traditions. She later deepened her Prashna training through intensive study of Prashna Marga and the Kerala school of horary, learning from texts passed down in manuscript form, a lineage that prizes precision of moment over the softness of generality.

Rutvi reads Prashna charts the way a surgeon reads an X-ray: methodically, with full attention to the Lagna of the moment, the position of Aroodha, and the condition of the lord of the relevant bhava. She does not invent comforting answers, and she does not predict outcomes she cannot honestly see in the chart. What she refuses, firmly, is to dress uncertainty as prophecy. If the chart is ambiguous, she says so, then shows the client what to watch for, transits, dashas, omens, rather than fabricating false confidence.
