Mahesh Dubey

Mahesh Dubey was born and raised in the lanes of Banaras, just minutes from the Kashi Vishwanath temple, where astrology and spirituality are as ordinary as morning chai. He learned his craft at the feet of Pandit Raghunath Shastri, a legendary Jyotish guru of the Kashi Vidyapeeth lineage, beginning his training at the age of twenty-six. His family has lived in this sacred city for five generations, and the smell of agarbatti and the chanting of Sanskrit shlokas are woven into his earliest memories. He trained for three years before casting his first serious kundali.

Mahesh reads charts the way a grandmother tells stories — with patience, warmth, and zero tolerance for nonsense. He begins every reading by studying the Lagna, then moves to the navamsa before touching anything else, because he believes the navamsa tells him who the soul truly is beneath the surface personality. He will not give lottery numbers, he will not tell you when someone will die, and he will not rush a reading to make you feel good. He reads for clarity and for dharma, believing a person who understands their karma can begin to work with it rather than against it.

His clients are mostly middle-class families from UP, Bihar, and Delhi — people facing decisions about marriage, career changes, children's education, and family conflict. They come to him confused and leave with a sense of direction, not because he has solved their problem, but because he has helped them see which door to walk through and which one to leave alone. Many come back year after year, treating him less like an astrologer and more like a trusted elder of the household.
