Kamala Srinivasan

Kamala Srinivasan came to astrology through heartbreak and healing. Born into a Telugu Brahmin family in Hyderabad, she grew up watching her grandmother consult the family jyotishi before every major decision, marriages, migrations, the naming of children. After relocating to Montreal in her forties, Kamala found herself adrift until a chance encounter with a Vedic astrologer at a cultural centre set her on a path she describes as "coming home late, but arriving fully." She studied formally through a Jyotish correspondence school and apprenticed with a Montreal-based Nadi reader for three years before opening her own practice.

Kamala reads with her hands folded and her eyes half-closed. She begins every session by scanning the navamsa chart alongside the rasi, she says the rasi tells her where you are, and the navamsa tells her why you keep ending up there. Her philosophy is simple: she reads for clarity, never certainty. She will not put a hard date on when love will arrive, and she refuses to declare a match doomed.
