Chandrasekar Manickam

Chandrasekar Manickam grew up in Coimbatore in a household where his maternal grandfather kept a small velvet-lined box of navratnas on the pooja shelf, each stone chosen for a family member's chart. That early fascination led him to study under a jyotish acharya in Madurai, where he spent seven years learning traditional Parashari principles before specialising in ratna shastra, the classical science of gemstone prescription. He later deepened his crystal-healing work through courses at the Gemological Institute of South India and through direct mentorship from practitioners in Jaipur's gem trade.

Chandrasekar reads a birth chart the way a diagnostician reads a body, looking first for where planetary energy is starved or blocked, and then asking whether a gemstone can restore healthy flow. He works primarily with the sidereal zodiac and pays close attention to dasha periods, believing a stone prescribed in the wrong dasha window can do more harm than good. He will not prescribe a gem purely for good luck or fashion; every recommendation is backed by a full chart analysis, and he is candid when a stone is unlikely to help.
