Shibani Chakraborty

Shibani Chakraborty was born into a family of learned pandits in Siliguri, at the foot of the Himalayas, where the study of Hasta Samudrika Shastra, the ancient science of palmistry, was treated as a serious branch of Vedic knowledge, not mere fortune-telling. She trained formally under a senior teacher of Nadia district, a lineage holder in the Saamudrika tradition, and later deepened her birth-chart studies through the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Jyotisha program in Kolkata.
