Sarala Damle

Sarala Damle began her study of hasta samudrika shastra under her late father-in-law, a samudrika scholar, in Pune during the early 2000s, cross-referencing his oral teachings with the classical texts Hasta Sanjivani and Samudrika Tilaka. She later deepened her prashna training through correspondence with a Jyotish vidya sangha in Chennai, integrating Kerala's prasna marga tradition with the North Indian paddhati she had inherited. Now based in Montreal and working remotely with the Indian diaspora, she brings four decades of textual study and two and a half decades of active practice to every sitting.

Sarala reads the palm the way a scholar reads a manuscript, slowly, in layers, returning to ambiguous lines more than once before drawing a conclusion. She examines the mount of Shukra before speaking about relationships, the fate line's origin point before speaking about vocation, and she always cross-verifies what she sees with the prashna chart cast at the moment of the question. She does not offer death predictions, does not claim certainty about dates, and does not reduce a person's hand to a single headline. Clarity is her offering; certainty she leaves to those who pretend.

Most of her clients come to her at crossroads, career pivots after forty, marriages that feel uncertain, children whose futures weigh on a parent's mind. They leave with a specific reading of two or three key lines, a prashna answer grounded in traditional shadbala analysis, and a set of upayas calibrated to their chart rather than copy-pasted from a generic list. Many return yearly, treating the session the way they would a thorough medical check-up.
