Nirmala Mishra

Nirmala Mishra was born and raised in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, in a family where almanacs and panchang sat beside the kitchen gods as a matter of course. Her grandmother, a woman who could read a palm the way others read newspapers, first showed her how the sky at birth becomes a map for a lifetime. Nirmala went on to formally study Jyotish under a senior Parashari teacher in Varanasi, spending three years absorbing the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra before she ever opened a client's chart. Alongside Vedic astrology she trained in Reiki under the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage, coming to see energy healing and planetary reading as two hands of the same body.

Nirmala reads the way she cooks, patiently, with attention to what is already in the house. She anchors every reading in the natal chart, the dashas, and the strength of the lagna lord before she reaches for anything else. She believes Jyotish is a lamp, not a verdict, and she will not hand someone a sentence when what they need is light. She refuses to put hard end-dates on illness or predict the passing of a soul, because she has seen too many times how a carelessly spoken word becomes a wall people cannot climb back over.
