Nalini Marathe

Nalini Marathe was born and raised in Pune, Maharashtra, in a family where astrology was treated like household arithmetic, ordinary, necessary, and never exotic. Her maternal uncle, a practicing Jyotishi trained under the Pune Vedic Parishad lineage, began teaching her chart reading when she was barely twelve. By her twenties she had apprenticed formally under a Dadar astrologer, one of the last practitioners who insisted on hand-cast charts and refused electronic software until his final years. That foundation, slow, rigorous, paper-and-ink, is the one she still works from.
